If He's Worth It

There’s this girl named Lucy.She had been in a relationship with a guy whose age is way older than her.The two of them have been through a lot.The girl has ever accompanied the guy until it’s sharply 12 when his father had a surgery.The girl has struggled so hard on telling that Lucy and Hazel (her boyfriend) were in a relationship.Hazel and Lucy had ever shred each others tears,hugged,laughed together,and many more.But sadly,Lucy and Hazel broke up,right on 3 days before their very first year anniversary.

On that day,she didn’t talk to any of her friends,yet,she laid down all day on her desk.Her eyes are always wet with tears,and somehow it falls.There’s no single word spoken.She was as quiet as a statue.When her classmates tried to talk with her,Lucy didn’t even sneak on them.Lucy couldn’t believe that Hazel,who used to love her so much and mean the world to her..broke every single promise he told her.

·      Hazel promised her that he won’t let  somebody hurt her

·      He won’t let her drop a tiny bit of tears

·      He said that he’d rather die than to not live with her

·      He said that he’d kill himself if he saw Lucy got hurt

But now on,those promises are lies.Lucy is now the sorrowest girl in class.

A few months passed by.As what everyone says,

“Time will kill the wund.Time heals.”

Lucy is able to smile (tho it’s fake)..But still,deep inside,she’s still broken and that’s what makes her feel afraid to fall in love again.On Sunday morning,Lucy checked her phone to make sure if everything goes right.

“Everything is fine,just like what I’ve hoped for” said Lucy

In the next few hours,Prior,which is Lucy’s junior texted her.When she opened it,Lucy was super shock.She felt so pathetic.Her hands started to shake and tears started to fill her eyes.The news wasn’t a good one to know.It was the news,saying that Hazel’s father had just passed away.That’s unbelievable.She kept hoping that everything will be fine sooner.Lucy wanted to come there.But what’s worst is that..she was too afraid that she’d probably disturb them.SO all she got to do is just to pray and hope that everything will be okay in the end.

The next day at school,Lucy passed by the school’s corridor and saw lots of people cried,Lucy and the others felt pity for Hazel and his sister.Days passed by.It has been 2 weeks since the passing of Hazel’s dad.

Lucy got the news that now Hazel started to date his ex (which is not Lucy).They used to be together before Hazel and Lucy got into a relationship.Knowing that,Lucy became so broken-hearted.She started getting flashbacks on her mind.She remembered all the words he had told her before and tears started to drip down her cheeks,crawling into her neck.Lucy knew that she couldn’t change that.

“There are 2 choices left.Either to move on,or to wait.I decided to wait.I notice that it’d be long.I hate waiting.But if waiting as long as forever means getting Hazel back,I’ll do it.” Stated Lucy. Optimistly,she said “ If he’s worth it,he will be.”

A few days after ‘that’ day,Lucy noticed that Hazel is the only boy in the balcony.So,she decided to come over in the balcony to express everything she feels.She wrote a paragraph in the form of notepad,and she directed her phone to Hazel.Lucy gave him time for 2-3 minutes ish.

Lucy headed back to him and asked him how was it.He did not speak that much.When Lucy offered Hazel several questions,he turned his face away.Lucy started to think about what she shall do to get his attention.She finally started to make the first move.Before,Lucy standed right behind him,which she thinks that maybe it’d be hard for him to talk while spinning his head around.So Luck took a few steps ahead,moving to the place where she could stand right beside him.She felt way better.

“It seems like the last few months.Where everything was so okay and I got nothing to worry.I miss this thing.Everything we had together,I miss how everything used to be.”

Hazel started turning his face around when Lucy asked him the reason of him doing such awful things to her.He was so quiet.Hazel stared at Lucy’s eyes.

‘Her eyes..they used to shine so bright.I was being super mean and rude to her.I’m sorry,Lucy.I didn’t mean to hurt you.Im super sorry.I promise you that I’ll be better.” Said Hazel on his mind.

Hazel was way too afraid to tell her that he wanted her back.He’s way too afraid that she wouldn’t love him back.

Hazel started to take her hands.and started wrapping his fingertips into hers.He looked at her on the eye in a really serious way.Hazel started to notice that Lucy’s crying….teardrops dripped all the way down.His face was now burning red.He felt really sorry for her.Hazel offered her to be his girlfriend again.He started to explain how would his life be without her.

Thanked God,Lucy  stated a yes.Hazel turned his hands up and he shreded Lucy’s tears,just like the way it used to be.Lucy was so proud of him.She hugged him tightly and cried way harder.The two of them hugged quite long.

Hazel’s mother finally picked him up.Before he went home,Hazel hugged her again,said sorry to her,and promised her that he’d love him until it’s the end of their life.Lucy waved her hands to Hazel and his car started to walk away.

‘If he’s worth it,then he will be.It’s a great thing knowing that now,I can have him back in my arms,not only in my heart.” Said Lucy :)
